Frameless Shower Enclosures (3/8" & 1/2")

All Shower enclosures are available in Standard Clear, Starphire (extra clear), 3/8 Rainglass, Gluechip and Sandblast.

SHOWER INSTALLATIONS

U-channel best applies when your door is hinged off the wall. Heavy glass Frameless showers are not 100% water tight, but we can guarantee no leakage where U-channel is placed. Typically, your door is 3/8" glass, while the panels are done in 1/2" to provide better strength and stability. This installation is the most cost effective.

Header & U-channel system - When your door is hinged from a panel, u-channel alone is not enough to hold the weight of the door. A header across the top of the enclosure is needed to stabilize the panel holding the weight of the door. This installation is usually done in all 3/8" glass, because there is no advantage to doing the enclosure in 1/2" glass.  However, as matter of preference, 1/2" glass can be done in a header system.

Clip system - This system is typically used when your door is hinged off a panel and a header is not desired. Panels are 1/2" glass while the door is 3/8". The clip has a "bite" on the glass, which provides a no-slip situation while holding the weight of the door. Even if your door was hinged on the wall, this installation is ideal for those who do not want u-channel. This installation method is prone to some leakage at the clip.

Steam units - This is a fully enclosed shower. This allows steam build up, similar to a sauna. There are a variety of different installation options available. U-channel or clip system, top & bottom pivot hinges, with or without transom; call the office to discuss your specific needs.

Tub applications. Heavy frameless doors can also be done over a tub, one popular option is a bath screen, which is usually 36" wide. This covers approximately 2/3 of the tub. This application is ideal for a family, who regularly bathe small children and does not want to lean over a slider track or in a guest bath that is not used very often. Many lay-outs and designs are available to meet your needs.

Maintaining the beauty of your shower - Now that you have this beautiful glass enclosure there are a few options available to maintain its beauty. We leave a care package on site explaining care for your hardware. For easier maintainence you may apply a sealant to the glass yourself, which we carry in our showroom, or for a longer lasting application (which is covered by a warranty) try HydroShield. A HydroShield representative will come out to your home for the application process (this must be done at least 48 hours after our frameless shower installation).
